want better search engine ranking?

April 6th, 2010 | by admin |

I am trying to increase my search engine ranking for my website www.textbooks100.com. What are the best ways to see a quick increase in rankings? Also, any suggestions for how to build a commission based sales program where those who send me customers get a commission when leads buy?

Free Directory Sites with a High Google Pagerank

I was on a mission to hunt down free directories that have a high Google Pagerank and do not require a reciprocal link. It took me a while to compile this list and I am sure there are many more. Many of the directories listed below are Dofollow. If you are looking for link juice, here’s your OJ!

Figure out what your search terms are your business. What keywords do you want to rank for And write them down on a piece of paper. Next go to
    The Google keyword tool

    https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal

type in your search terms here, one per line. This keyword tool will also give you other keyword ideas to use for your site. sort the list by local search volume. You’re looking for key words that have minimum 2400 searches per month, With that amount of searches per month you’re getting at least 80 searches per day. And a similar average amount of searches for the entire year. this will give you a better idea if these searches are cyclical or steady.

Don’t worry about the advertising competition, especially if you’re looking for organic traffic.

Once you’ve gotten your list of keywords, go back to google.com
and type in a keyword and hit enter. take a look at the results on the blue line. to total number of results shows you how many websites are competing for the same key word. You’re looking for results that are below 60,000 (but below 30,000 would be even better).

So when you find keywords that have a high search volume with low competition and you optimize your webpages for those keywords (meta tags, header tags, title, webpage content) there is a much better chance that you will be able to rank in the top 10.

After a cursory review of your SEO metatags, it appears that:

    1. There are multiple <title> metatag entries which appear as loaded entries [a Black Hat technique] and therefore the duplicate <title> metatags should be removed accordingly. And where’s the "geographic target" [your business location, the city, state] which in your case would be Dayton, Ohio?

    2. Your <keywords> metatag entries are also excessive, duplicative, spamdexed and exceed the 15-16 total entry limitation. Any excessive entries are not indexed by Google.com.

Hopefully, you can streamline your current metatags following the above suggestions.

And by the way, your website looks very professional!

    Good luck!
